The 15.3-inch Liquid Retina screen on the Air M4 is just gorgeous to look at. With 500 nits of brightness and P3 wide color, text looks razor sharp and watching high-res video or editing photos feels really satisfying. Apple's True Tone does a nice job adjusting color warmth as ambient light shifts in your room, so your eyes don't feel cooked after a long session of reading or coding.
Port selection is minimalist as usual, but the return of MagSafe 3 is always a lifesaver—if someone trips on the cord, it snaps right off instead of sending your pricey laptop flying across the floor :-). You get two Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C ports on the left and a proper 3.5mm headphone jack on the right. If you use a lot of USB-A drives or HDMI displays, a dongle is still part of life, but having dual Thunderbolt 4 keeps data transfer and external monitors snappy.
